Terms and Conditions

Please have a read through our Terms & Conditions for each hire.

SFE T&C’S

General 

  • We reserve the right to decline some or all of your order, for any reason.

  • The contract between us will be formed when you inform us that you accept the quote. 

  • Our "Fun Food" items that involve cooking on site (Popcorn, Chocolate fountain) will produce heat. We would advise to put these in well ventilated areas and away from smoke detectors. SFEHire (Somerset Food & Entertainment) cannot be held responsible for any alarms going off as a result of "Cooking" and affecting the event. Upon hiring these items the customer is responsible for selecting the location at site.  

Payment 

  • Payment date will be set at our discretion. - this will be clearly noted on our quote/invoice.

  • We accept payment by BACS, Cash and Cheques.

Delivery 

  • Equipment will be delivered in good working order.

  • We will do our best to stick to our estimated delivery time but occasionally delays will happen that are out of our control and we will not be held liable for any delays or failures to deliver within our estimated timeframe. 

Installation

  • Our team need to be advised in advance if there are stairs or obstacles to encounter on site where we will be loading/unloading the equipment. 

  • We need to have an electric socket within reasonable distance for our electrical items.

  • We reserve the right to not accept an order or cancel an order - if we believe our team could be subject to physical or verbal abuse.  

  • Where we are unable to set up through an error or fault on your part, we reserve the right to charge for our time at £20 an hour. 

Cancellation 

  • Cancellations must be put in writing or email. 

  • More than 14 days before the event will incur no charges other than the loss of the booking fee. 

  • Between 14 days and the event will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking value.

Your Responsibilities as the "Hirer"

  • You will make all reasonable efforts to ensure the equipment is not damaged or misused during the period of hire. 

  • You will make all reasonable efforts to ensure anyone operating or using the equipment during the hire is instructed in the safe use of the equipment. 

  • You shall not sell or attempt to sell or dispose of the equipment.

  • If the equipment is not returned in good working condition you will be reimburse us for all costs in connection to repairing or replacing the equipment.  

  • At our discretion you agree to pay the full daily rate for all items of equipment which require to be replaced or repaired until such a repair or replacement has been completed. 

  • The hire items are your responsibility as soon as you receive them and only ends once they have been collected by us. Your responsibilities include safe keeping of the equipment, Protection against vandalism, improper use, theft and the elements. 

  • You are responsible for users of the equipment to exercise caution to avoid injury, SFEHire (Something For Everyone) will not accept responsibility for injury caused through irresponsible behaviour. 

  • As the "Hirer" it is your responsibility to comply with health and safety law including food hygiene certification if you hire them without an attendant. 

  • You agree to maintain the equipment during the hire period and to notify us if there is a problem.

  • You shall not alter or modify the equipment or use it for alternative purposes that it’s not designed to do. 

Copy right - Photography 

  • photos of our equipment may be taken at events for promotional purposes. Our team will only take photos of our equipment with or without guest using our equipment. Please inform us if you would not like these photos used on our website or social media platforms.

  • If you wish to have a copy of any photographs, we have taken please let us know and we will send you copies via email.
